La station a été déployée en 2 heures le vendredi 12 octobre et vers 13H00 nous avons réalisé notre premier contact dans de bonnes conditions.
Malheureusement, le lendemain pour les démonstrations, nous avons eu la désagréable surprise de constater un niveau de bruit de +20 au dessus du niveau de la veille dans pas mal de directions.
Nous suspectons les centaines de tubes fluorescents alors en service.
Le trafic était donc quasi impossible et seules quelques stations ont pu être contactées.
Mais l'action pédagogique a cependant pu être faite auprès des nombreux OM qui n'ont cessé de poser des questions au long de la journée.
Friday the 12th of October it tooks us about two hours to set up the station in the middle of a commercial zone . At 11:18 TU we made our first QSO.
Untill moon set we were able to make contacts relatively easely. Unfortunately Saturday , the day after, we experienced a very high noise level , up to 10 to 20 dB compared to Friday .
Only few stations could be added to the log .
We are strongly suspecting all the fluorescent lamps that were ON the day of the show and not the day before.
In any case it was fun , we had a lot of visitors , most of them surprised that we could make 2M EME contacts with such modest antennas.
The afternoon , on a separate room we made a 30mn ‘’power point’’ presentation on 2M EME activities with a special focus on the use of dual pol antennas and associated SDR receivers.
